Marvel Legends X-Men Toy Packaging
Client: Hasbro / Marvel Comics
Art Director: Allen Pan-Long
This is a pixel art illustration Jude created for Hasbro, featuring the iconic Sentinels from Marvel’s X-Men universe.

Project Goals
These action figures were based on the Sentinels from the 1992 X-Men arcade game. Hasbro needed the packaging to instantly communicate the retro gaming roots of the release, paying tribute to the original sprites with a pixel art style that captured the bold, 8-bit look of early 90s arcade graphics.
Project Realization
The final pixel art illustration was used on the packaging for the Marvel Legends 2-pack of Sentinels action figures. The artwork gave the product a distinct retro-gaming appeal, connecting the collectible to its arcade roots.
Creative Process
As someone who grew up watching the X-Men cartoon, collecting the action figures, and dumping endless quarters into the arcade game that inspired this release, this project was a perfect fit for Jude. His deep understanding of pixel art, retro video game aesthetics, and geek culture helped ensure the artwork resonated with fans and collectors alike.
